(SAN FRANCISCO, July 14, 2013) — Dr. Eric Ding, the Director of Epidemiology at Microclinic International, co-authored a landmark study on “The State of US Health, 1990-2010: Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors” in the July 10, 2013 issue of JAMA, the Journal of the American Medical Association.

The study seeks to understand “the major health problems in the United States and how they are changing over time” and how these trends are “critical for informing national health policy.” First Lady Michelle Obama references findings from the study in her “Let’s Move! Cities, Towns and Counties” address at the White House on July 10, 2013. See 9:20 onwards for her talking about the study.
